A saddled white horse stands alone against a field of layered crimson, wine, and ox blood.  The form is reduced and chalky, almost lifted from the surface rather than drawn onto it, giving ATTESA the feeling of a figure held in suspension.  The contrast between the pale horse and the saturated ground creates a quiet tension between presence and absence.
